About Us
At Journeys, we believe that sharing the message of recovery is key to staying sober. Each week, our group visits two local treatment centers to bring recovery meetings (H&I) to those in need.
The Georgetown AA Group is just a 3-minute walk from the house.
Located just north of Austin, Georgetown offers a vibrant, small-town atmosphere with plenty to do. Its quieter pace and lack of big-city traffic and public transit make it a more comfortable and manageable environment—especially for those new to sobriety.
Residents are responsible for their own food and personal hygiene items; Journeys covers everything else.
We offer fun, monthly group outings and girls’ nights to encourage connection and support.
Policies
Recovery
All residents must be actively working a recovery program (AA/NA/Other). This includes attending meetings and working with a sponsor.
Meetings
Residents must attend 90 meetings in 90 days, and 3 meetings a week thereafter. All residents will be required to attend one weekly house meeting.
Curfew
During the initial 30-day probationary period, curfew is 10:30pm on week nights and 12am on weekends, with no nights out. After the probationary period, the curfew is 12am. 2 nights out a week are allowed, on a case by case basis. If work hours conflict with curfew hours, prior arrangements must be made.
ZERO TOLERANCE policy of the use of any mind-altering chemical on or off the premises. This includes any resident knowing of another resident's use without notifying staff. Anonymity will be respected if concerns are brought to the attention of staff. Residents must notify staff with any concerns of drug/alcohol use. Illegal activities, violence of any kind will not be tolerated at Journeys. Any resident participating in this
behavior will be asked to leave.
Medication
All medication must be approved. No narcotics of any kind will be allowed at Journeys.
All medication must be taken as prescribed. Journeys does not support the use of Suboxone, Seroquel, Methadone, Adderall, or any other medication that may be used addictively. Abuse of any medication will be considered a relapse.
Rent
Rent is paid at the rate of $950.00 per month or $250.00 per week.
